What Is ancestral therapy?
Ancestral therapy is a therapeutic and awareness-based approach that explores our connection to our lineage—parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and previous generations. It is grounded in the understanding that we are not isolated individuals, but part of a larger system in which patterns, beliefs, traumas, resources, and strengths are passed down.
The experiences of our ancestors—wars, losses, migration, repression, deprivation, as well as love, resilience, and wisdom—leave an emotional and energetic imprint that can influence our lives today.
Why Is ancestral therapy so important?
Many of our unconscious reactions are not entirely “ours.” They are often:
– inherited fears and feelings of guilt
– loyalty to the suffering of the lineage
– repeating destinies (divorce, illness, loss)
– inner prohibitions against happiness, success, or love
Ancestral therapy helps us become aware of these invisible bonds and return responsibility to where it belongs—in history, not in our present lives.
